You are correct. Powerlink from Ouverture to Beolink passive with one proviso........the powerlink cable must be MkII or fully wired. The passive is the renamed version of the ML/MCL converter.
70s boring!? Beogram 4000, Beomaster 6000 quad, Beomaster 4400, Beomaster 2400 etc! The most fertile period for B&O in my view. No computers so I agree multi room was out but stunning design and build quality.
Agree with Peter. The 70's is when my love affair with the brand first started andI bought a
Okay, Thanks Soren! It seems somewhat odd that B&O would use plastic on their flagship 6500 components when the displays on the lower-range 4500 system were made out of glass and the MCP 6500 and Beolink 7000 used glass as well. But, you never quite know with B&O! Aaron
The 4500 system displays are made

There are two top plates for 28in TV's. One for MX and one for LX. You have the one for the MX which will not fit your set. The top plates are inter-changeable on the stand so you just need to aquire the LX plate and swap it on the stand.
IE 8 crashes for me as soon as the store manager is done talking every time, not a great start.
I used my existing password and it worked first time! Why are you running IE8? As far as I know it is little more than a Beta so you would expect problems. I am running Vista Home Premium on a HP Core 2 Duo laptop

We have overnight delivery services which reach all the way to Scotland!!
Hello Brian, I just been on the Lifestyle AV site & see that they are selling these 'fully wired' Mk II cables.. I guess I'm just looking for lengths of 3 or 5metres per cable.. Thanks, Michael
Why noy try www.soundsheavenly.co.uk . I suspect he will be cheaper than Lifestyle and this is the

You need MkII or sometimes called "fully wired" powerlink cables to make the displays work. No other type will do, no matter what anybody says! I believe there is also a Audio/Video switch up in the socket area which must be set correctly or the display will be garbage.

In general so are Brits. Can't give'em away over here..silver/black, gunmetal or black/black are just about ok but blue, green or maroon are a disaster. Not just BL1's though, it applies to all the coloured speakers. I never buy 'em because you've then got to find the right person to sell them to.................. It would appear

Ideally you need either MCL2P or ML/MCL converter or Beolink Passive. These are all B&O amplifiers designed to allow Ouverture types to work with other manufacturers Passive speakers. They're regularly available on eBay and the cheapest will cost around £75-100 plus a suitable lead.
