• Re: Loewe commercial
Obvisously, I am not the only person who thinks B&O is not delivering. The BV7 sales numbers speak for themselves.
Are you sure about that? I was told a while back that the BV7 is their best-selling product? I was impressed with that Loewe TV when I saw it at 'Audience' in Bath. Impressive picture
I find myself perplxed.
You can easily mix and match products Simon. When you only buy one brand, it can appear a tad freaky. Kind of like walking around town with clothes from one brand. Life isn't centered around working out how to buy and integrate new B&O kit or spending ever other day down

  • Re: Sound level on BV 7-40 MKII vs. MKIII

The variable sound issue was resolved with sw 5.xx. I noticed the same thing, until sw 5 was installed in November. Now there is little difference between HD and SD channels or between Sky and Freeview. There used to be a big difference between HD channels and SD, before sw. You had to up the volume by 10 levels to listen effectively.

  • Re: Which Sony PS3 for the BV7-40 please?
the thing is also rather noisy
It's not noisy at all. One of the advantages of the PS3 is the quiet operation - I think the early versions were noiser though. However, I would agree that it crashes or is unreliable. Often the controller 'loses' the wireless connection; same as the bluetooth

A PS3 is a good option, but knowing how you only like to control your kit with your B&O remotes, you'll need an additional device to make this happen. The PS3 is ideal if you are going to play the occassional game. I've not played games for years, but since buying the PS3, have played the odd racing game from time to time. Kind of further

  • Re: B&O UK closed?
My new dealer has just informed me that any new products I order will take 4 - 6 weeks instead of the usual 7 - 10 day's. A pain for me but a real worry to the dealer.
I'm not sure how that works. In order to bring costs down, manufacturers have to mass-produce some products. Ok, B&O only produce

  • Re: Bang & Olufsen goes OLED
BV8 40 will be around £3700 - £4000, Moxxey you're quite right about the BV10. While you might be quite right about LED backlight and not OLED, it was stated by B&O at a recent meeting that BV 7 55 will use OLED backlight - now this could have been a mistake on their part but it was said. • Re: Bang & Olufsen goes OLED

OLED != LED Sorry, I meant that OLED technology differs from LED backlight technology. Different thing entirely. ie. it's not 'OLED backlight technology'.
From what you have said we sound so similar as I absolutly loved the BV5.
I was told yesterday that the forthcoming BV10 will be somewhat styled on the old BV5. If that's true, this might be the TV you've been waiting for.

  • Re: Bang & Olufsen goes OLED

I don't think it's OLED backlight, it's just LED backlight technology, like they use across the Apple MacBook range. However, I was of the understanding that LED backlight technology would struggle to be implemented over a 30" screen, which is why the key pro Apple Cinema Display screens have yet to be updated?
