Looking at the picture of the MCL2AV, I think there are 2 Poerlink sockets on the side. Not on the front where you have CD, Tape and TV connections. Craig

Just checked the BV3-28 user manual and there are two Powerlink sockets. Even if the DSS card is not fitted. Craig

Maybe the BV3-28 does have them. My cment was based on the BV3-32. Looking at the pictue the connection panel is totaly different from the 32". Craig

Alex: The easiest option is just to back everything up periodically. I backed up my MacB last night, just in case anything should happen to it. Also, as you say, buy the damn CDs! Thats what I do, if only for my music and pictures. Anything else on the PC can be retrieved elsewhere. Also backup my laptop for work once a week. Craig

Jackplug: Can I assume that ALL BV3 have at least 2 x PL output for external speakers, whether or not it has the DSS card fitted? No, if there is no DSS card there are no Powelink connections. Craig

j0hnbarker: Anglepoise lamps - I have one lighting my desk now as I write. They were made just down the road from my mates house. Used to have one at work until my boss decided it needed some expert repair. Might have to find the parts, and see if I can fix it. Have to agree tough a classic design. Craig

When they release the software, I will be buying a Beo5. At the moment I don't like the idea of having to go back to the dealers. Then I can set it at home wher it will be used and make whatever changes I want. Craig

beaker: I was more after things that are simple. Just items which are produced to do a job and end up beautiful as an afterthought. The London tube map is an example.
