  • Re: record clamps

Hi and welcome to Beoworld I suppose a lot will depend on the weight of the record clamp as to how much it will affect the sprung chassis. The chassis is suspended on leaf springs spaced equidistant around the sub-platter and these are adjustable to give the height required. The vertical tracking angle of the styus is affected by the height of the record

  • Re: MC120.2's compared to S80.2's and others

Well I've just finished the other MS150 and now have an almost mint fully refurbished pair of monsters. I really don't want to part with these as they are just sublime but SWMBO doesn't share my enthusiasm I'm afraid Chris.

  • Re: Beogram CDX 2 CD Player

The CDX2 doesn't actually have datalink Friedmett, it has the exact same functions & output connections as the CDX. The first B&O datalink (remote controllable) CD player was the CD50 which is very much akin to the CDX when it comes to sound. Not one for the weak hearted though when it comes to repairing these but as with the CDX almost

  • Re: LX5500 niggle

Thanks for your usual excellent advice Mika, I'll bear it all in mind if it does start to annoy me. At the moment though I'm too busy drooling over my newly refurbished Beovox MS150's to worry about a little spot of off colour on my TV Chris.

  • Re: LX5500 niggle

Hi Mika, yes it makes all the right noises when switching on & off. I already tried the unplugging for several minutes trick but with no success. I'm not a big fan of messing around inside CRT TV's so I'll just live with it for now. Chris.

  • Re: Which stand is this please?

It is for the system 3300 but will work equally well with the 3500/4500 systems and, as pointed out, the plastic beocenters of the 1980's. Beomaster 3300 fits on top, cassette & cd on middle shelf & turntable on the bottom shelf. Chris.

Jandyt: However, if Chris's Missus banishes his 150s, I would make room for them! Andy T. No prob's Andy - just show me the money Chris.

Peter : MS150s are gigantic in comparison............................ You're not kidding Peter!!!! When I picked them up I was pretty shocked at the size difference, I really wasn't expecting anything that big even after reading the dimensions in the spec's for them. I have a very strange feeling SWMBO will have them banished as soon as
