It is comparable to bringing along a CAT-Scanner on a date. - LMFAO For those of us that aren't audio wizards AND are partially deaf, its a case of if you like it buy it and if you don't walk away. Part of these technical arguments continue the Geek view ala CPU and FSB arguments! BUT it is good to see such passion for B&O after all these

You can adjust the volume for each speaker within the 5.1 setup.

Also if you add a 2nd pair of speakers do you halve the amount of 'power' that goes to each set?

Hi all, Anyone got any old B&O knobs hanging around as spares that I might be able to use on my Beo610? It's the smaller ones I have a problem with as opposed to the single large one. I have one missing and one badly cracked. Cheers

Is the 1615 converter the same as these two as well? I believe the 1610 is for AV9000 connectivity only?

You can use any of the 3 types of Penta with an Avant. Mark 1's need the convertor cable to give you a PL interface. If you plan to use more than two speakers at a time you may need the 4 port (as opposed to the 2 port) Dolby module as I believe its only the Mark 3's that allow you to daisy chain the speakers.
