Sentiments and nostalgia didn't make B&O great. Craftmanship did in combination with designs that were/are not only experienced as beautiful but were in fact works of art. No coincidence that the MOMA displays some B&O products. No other audio/video company comes close to that unique combination. The creation of design that proves to be

Why would the lab 4000 MK II be worse sounding than mark I? Because of the ICE class D amp? But looking at the spec's I see that the praised lab % and lab 3 also have ICE class D amps so what is bad about that?

After reading a few B&O catalogues from 1976, 1978, 1988,1993 and the most recent one, I think the conclusion is justified that, concerning audio, B&O is now returning to it's core-business; sound-before-design, the 80s and 90s it was design before sound. CDX better sounding than the CD 7000? That surprises me as the CDX is a very early model, and the specifications of the 7000 are better.

Since some days a proud owner of a beomaster 4400 rosewood in near-new-condition, the question is what B&O CD-player to connect to it, there weren't any around in 1977...Any suggestions? George

Wie weet een adres voor vakkundig onderhoud aan de oudere B&O systemen/ jaren 70? Het is jammer dat een merk als B&O de oudere producten niet beter ondersteunt. Joris

Agree completely with earlier posts about schmelling/beosound 6: a complete shame this "DDR"-like product is in todays catalogue. No excuse for that. B&O products always exelled in timeless, if not iconic and artistic design, which gave the marque it's unique position today. As everybody knows; an established name takes 40 years to

Listening to these A8's on my Ipod for some weeks now, and I must say they're great. Crystal clear sound. Comfortable wear. Build quality is without competition, magnificent craftmanship. So these A8's are a definite must have for the Ipod listening B&O enthousiast and for everyone who wants the most out of his Ipod. George
