My AV9000 curtains aren't running as smooth as they could. As I'm about to re-fit the contrast screen, I thought I'd grease the runners. What should I use - clear silicone grease, graphite grease or something else altogether? What a carry on. Thanks, Dave.

Is there a switch on the back of the speaker for 'video' or 'audio'? I can't remember if this is the case with these. If they are set at 'video' they will display when connected to the AV9000 but not to an audio source. Try switching the switch if there is one. I've found similar to this with Beolab Penta's. If I'm

It's mostly off already in that it's loose most of the way round. A gentle pull will probably bring it off easily. I'll then clean off the old tape and try some of this tape, or a tape that's the same size as used on the AV9000 (which I'll measure tonight if I get the chance). I've seen lots of AV9000's where there is a dirt

Many thanks Keith, my thoughts were that I need to take it in. It's a few years old now so could do with a good service. Dave.

Dear all, When I connect the power lead, I get no standby light or anything in the display. The cable is good as it operates other equipment. I've taken off the speaker frets, display glass and lifted the PCB35 out to have a look for anything obvious. The foam has disintegrated and is stuck all over the place including under that board. I put the

Great news about the MX7000 - a lovely TV. For the AV9000, I have the same problem on one of my 2 sets. I've just looked on Ebay and found some tape which may be OK as a replacement. 6mm wide, 1mm thick foam tape used in the auto industry etc. Link should be here: TAPE. or: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BLACK-DOUBLE-SIDED-FOAM-TAPE-6mm-x-10mtr-SUPER-STRONG

Many thanks to all, cable is now ordered from Steve. Dave.

I have been using Beolab 4000's as rear speakers daisychained to my Avant. I want to replace these with a pair of Beolab 8000's but only want to have the single Powerlink cable supplying them. As they only have 1 powerlink input, how can I do this? I believe there is an adaptor (part 6270706) but is there another option or does anyone have a

Hi Chris, I saw this too but would question why he has no cable for it? Also, as it's sold as untested, if it doesn't work it may cost an unknown amount to repair. A replacement cable should be cheap even from a dealer I'd have thought. Good luck if you buy it. Dave.

A pair sold on eBay a couple of years ago for £100. They were the only other pair I've seen (unless it's these). Dave.
