  • BV7 / BS3 question regarding audio

Dear Gang, I'm still in the process of building my dream A/V system (i.e. I haven't purchased anything yet, still planning). I plan on submitting another post on this forum with more and better worded questions regarding this proposed A/V system in the near future as I'm realizing that there's still much I don't know about B&O

  • Re: Beovision 7-52

I realize that Samsung panels are used in the BV-7, but I think (not absolutely positive, though) that B&O uses Sharp panels in the BV-8s. If this is the case, I think Sharp's new "limited edition" large Aquos LCD panels are getting some good press. Heck, they even look like B&O TVs with a speaker (designed by Pioneer) hanging

  • Re: Quick BV8 question

Helmut, Thanks for taking the time to reply and for the insight. Out of curiousity, does this fan noise that you're hearing sound like an electrical hum? Also, do you hear it more when toward the top righthand corner of the TV? TIA, Mark

Dear Gang, Anyone else with any insights to offer with regard to their BV8 having an electrical hum that's really only noticed when close to the TV. I'm repeating the question as I'm about to send my BV8 in for servicing if this is something that no one else notices. I've excluded all the things mentioned in this old thread by others

  • Re: any info on a BV7 that's larger than 40"?

Fellow B&O'ers, Just wanted to give an update as I've spent the past week talking with various dealers here in the USA as well as someone with B&O North America. I've been told that (at least here in the USA) there won't be a larger BV7 in 2009. I wish this weren't the case as I'll be on the market for a larger LCD after

  • Re: Apple and B&O

jldmelb, Actually, I never sent it (sorry if I misled in my prior posting). I know that sounds awful in light of my empassioned cry in the letter. I penned the letter a little over two years ago and kept updating it every so often with the idea that I'd send it when I had the time, but never did so (in part because I was contemplating sending TBS

Dude1, That's the first I've heard of a 52" LCD, but I'm darn glad to hear it. In fact, that'd be perfect for me. Any idea of how soon it might be out? Mark D

  • any info on a BV7 that's larger than 40"?

Dear Gang, I want a Bang & Olufsen LCD flat panel with a BS3, but I need it bigger than 40". I'm fairly committed to the idea of an LCD over a plasma so the BV4 is less appealing to me. Has there been any recent discussion, rumor, or insight in to when B&O might come out with a BV7 that's larger than 40"? Or, do any of you

  • Re: Apple and B&O

OK, I'll bite. This is simply a subject that I'm too impassioned about to not throw in a blurb. At the risk of beating a dead horse, I'm going to reprint a letter that I penned to TBS a few years ago (and have posted here previously) in hopes that the new CEO might see it as I feel that it encapsulates the sentiments of many of us Apple

  • Re: BV8 / Apple TV musings and questions for the group

JK1002, As a general rule, I don't like leaving a TV or other device on either. From my perspective, though, having the audio menu on the TV (as opposed to a smaller screen on a dedicated audio player) really makes it easy to peruse your audio collection while doing other things - like cooking in the adjoining kitchen. I've reconciled myself
