Eugene, This is the standard Philips TDA1541 circuit. You can make the initial startup much faster by doing my regulator mod, and you can measure the laser current to 50mV, all as shown in my pdf here. Eugene Even after replacing the belts, you may still have that problem. The cause is that the rubber roller wheels have hardened, and aren't gripping the downwind axles. Solution - DeOxit Rubber Restorer. Menahem
