does anybody know how to take the cloth fret off a beovision 5? i'm thinking of changing my black cloth fret to a silver one - at the moment the beovision 5 looks like one big silly 4:3 screen when people see it for the 1st time - i like the silver fret because it matches the aluminum frame and makes a clear division between the glass screen and

russ, thanks for the indepth explanation. a dealer just rang me suggesting a S/PDIF splitter but your conection method looks and sounds more slick...! thank you kindly!

errrr, getting more confused.... when i pass a didgtial signal throught the SDIF cable from a BC2 to the BV5 digital input on the BV5 the digital signal gets processed into 5 analogue streams which are then sent down the powerlink cables for 5.1 sound (straightforward)...but if am already using the only digital output available for this how can i send

soundproof gave a great explanation of how to connect the beolab 5 to beocenter 2 for a digital connection in order to make use of the excellent digital converters onboard the beolab 5s:----"Make sure you set up the Daisy-Chain properly. Digital OUT from BC2 - to Digital IN on one speaker - Digital OUT from that speaker - to Digital IN on the next

i have a DVD1 (one of the later machines made) but it is irritating me - it is so sensitive to scratches. i always clean rental DVDs as advised before playing them but it seems to struggle when my laptop and cheap £100 machines don't!! the DVDs aren't even that badly scratched...! i was looking into replacing it with a beocenter 2 but

thanks keith. that's an amazing article and i am reassurred. no beocenter 2 for me at the moment. i love the beocenter 2 and wanted to replace my DVD 1 but until this is sorted i will stick with my beosound 9000 and it's FM radio for now... with all the articles from europe i am getting the distinct feeling that DAB is dying a slow death...
-
just as we get used to DAB and moves to improve the bitrate in the UK it looks like there are serious moves internationally to adopt the DAB+ standard. some manufacturers have incorporated DAB+ into their portable radios so that you will be able to listen both to DAB+ and DAB as the latter is slowly phased out. does anyone know if B&O are thinking
