Erik-nl: NB: In order to display signals from the BS the display must naturally accept RGBHV 576p 50Hz, which is the output signal of the BS2 - if not a small signal converter (e.g Cypress CP-251F) is needed. Erik, Did you get the CP-251F to work? I tried one with a 60Hz TV and got nothing.

I just got the 4.17 update and the box still drives my Panasonic TH50-HD7E no problem.

To clarify: You can use this with a non-B&O TV as long as you have Beo4 and the external IR receiver. You can add external drives to Beomedia by USB (for instance) and link the drive into the BM-SHARE directory.

Right... that was my thoughts. I would think all the sub-menu keys should be accessable from the Beo5 as the PUC is the thing sending them to the box anyhow. I'll try it out when I get home later

Why is it you have to select a specific STB in the software to control it when the PUC already has this configuration? I can understand for completeness it can be done so the PDF with the configuration list is accurate, but where I have extra items in by STB list in the PUC, they aren't addressable from the BEO5. I haven't tried, but if I just

It is very possible to be an option setting set wrong. You may have bought a unit where the main audio output was via a TV - with the speakers connected to the TV, and IR input to the 2500 was passed via the TV through the MCL cabling rather than via the IR input. I can't recall for sure, but if that was the case, then you have the player in Option

You need to change the 'automatically detect what monitor' option in the service menu - then set uit up to use the correct resolution (it won't be grayed out any more)
