  • Re: Software updates - should I have to pay?

Well,I must be fortunate in that my local dealer does not charge for firmware updates. He considers it to be part of the service a customer is entitled to,especially given the price of B & O's high end TVs. Given previous comments,is support for 1080p24 really an added feature that should be charged for? After all Pioneer's TVs have supported

  • Re: freesat module

Is it not a mistake to consider Freesat as an alternative to Sky HD? I understood Freesat to be an option for those people who were unable to receive Freeview. The HD content on Freesat is minimal, and what there is is mainly BBC sport. Given ITV's financial problems, their roll out of HD content is problematic, and Channel 4 is talking year end at

  • Re: BV7-40 Bluray?

The future may well be downloadable films, but before that can happen we have to solve the problem of the majority,if not all,of the UK ISPs falling substantially short of their quoted maximum download speed, which in some cases can be by 50-60%.

  • Re: I'm thinking about applying to open a B&O store...

One of the prime causes of failure of new venture start ups is inadequate working capital. So,three basic questions. Do you have enough start up capital, and an adequate contingency fund? Could you comfortably weather the failure of the venture? Have you identified the size of your target demographic in the proposed area of business?

  • Re: BeoVision 9 built to last with built-in robot

As a non technical person,I have wondered about the accuracy/usefulness of this. Given the apparent short length of the arm,and it's restricted arc of travel, will the accuracy of it's calibration not be influenced by the on screen image at the time of the sensor's activation? Or is a known test chart generated?

  • Re: Back on board

Perhaps this illustrates the effect that room acoustics/furnishings,and speaker location has upon perceived sound quality.

  • Re: Beosystem 3 with Non-B&O Panel recommendation

355f: Razlaw: Trip, you say you like the Kuro better than B&O LCDs, "but that could change quite shortly"....are you suggesting something will be changing about the Beovision 7? No one is investing in LCD development anymore. All future investment is geared toward making it cheaper. All new investment is goimng into OLED. The bv7 may have

  • Re: Beosystem 3 with Non-B&O Panel recommendation

TripEnglish: Terry, Not at all. I use Kuro as a general term because I have seen a Kuro (of any generation including 8) that can is better than a Panny connected to a BeoSyste 3. They may very well beat them handily if the BeoSystem 3 is not involved, but if you look back to the OP, the nature of this thread is pairing a non-B&O panel with a BeoSystem
