The digital coax does not represent a huge outlay so I think it's save to say you just go and try it - and compare. However, the real difference will be heard when you do connect the external speakers.

Just moved some stuff … had a pair of BL6000 and BL2 connected to BeoPort in my little linked attic in the old place… Now all this is in a new linked bedroom which is about 5x5 m and, WOW … What a difference (while I placed all the speakers well away from the walls).
