Peter has Mercedes blue. There's a Ferrari red Beogram 3000 Thorens, and I've used the official UK racing color (BRG comes in lots of nuances, though). Nice as a theme, and there are lots of racing colors and brand racing colors to choose from. @Mika - agreed. But there were several damaged areas in the paintwork, and it had to be repainted

Thanks Peter, and New Year's cheers to you. Yes, I'll get a lid with a cut-out for the wider shoulder of the 12" tonearm board. It feels nice to know that another Beogram 3000 Thorens has been saved and will soon be singing in my listening room. Here's an en face view:

I have hopes for what the new crew can accomplish, and look forward to what the near future will bring. I could put this in the Beosound8 thread, but will place it here. Some of B&O's problems stem from the fact that they have been chasing margins among customers far divorced from their level of brand sophistication. The customers most informed about B&O's inherent qualities are among those least catered to by the brand's main activities;

Exactly - B&O apps that give a touch of B&O convenience would also work as free publicity.

I'll add that Apple hardware and software is what is used to record and post produce the majority of the music we hear, while also being used for television and movies. The LOTR-trilogy was postproduced, image and sound, in its entirety using Apple computers, for all special effects and sound work. B&O could provide unique front ends for that
