I used a "hacked" Apple TV with Boxee. I don't like the user Boxee interface too much, Apple does a better job here, but for me it works OK connecting to my NAS. What I love about this, even though Boxee runs on the ATV it still can serve up music in the back when controlled through Iphone or Itouch or Ipad remote. So in a nutshell, I

I think there is a perceived difference in design as well as with picture quality. The BV10 seems to be widely popular yet it is unobtainable pricing wise, or lets say value wise when compared to the competition. I think many see the BV8 as an ugly step brother so coming up with cheaper models is probably not the answer. I somewhat agree that the product

after reaching a certain age and income I found music systems to be acceptable pricing wise. Where they always were out of touch in my opinion is TVs. When I came to the US we only had the Avant that was 10000$. That was 1998. That was roughly the annual amount of rent I paid living just outside NYC. I think since they focus so much on TVs these days

Is going to be interesting to see where they go with this. If they keep focussing on complete home cinemas and high end installations I don't think the price increases matter. Also, many may not even notice. If your not following the brand avidly as we do here you don't know how these increases add up. For me, I am all set with what I have.

What concerns me is that they need a solid base to shift from CD driven music systems. I can see that they only look at BS5 sales and maybe that is why they can not justify further improvements. But that what they have should be perfected and taken as a base for future developments. Similar as they have taken BS3 and put that into the BV7 as a base

Congrats on that installation. I wish I could stuff that much B&O into my home. Unfortunately I have an open layout and the remotes would overlap ... actually it does already ..... Love the way the BV10 looks. I saw it few days back in the window of the Boston store, I want one, I just have no idea how I could that into my place. Cheers JK

Jup, and I don't want to move on. I am waiting for them to give me a modern music system. If they can't get the BS5 right, does it mean they go back to CDs? Or does it mean they become a video only company? I wish we could get the product manager here for a Q&A to give him a proper beating :)

Very weak argument. Sonos has Apple lossless. I would live with a lossy format but want to have gapless playing without converting my mac environment to windows. The way the product looks at this point, it was clearly not well thought out. Not considering holiday music for mots, not considering multiple disks cd sets and not considering gapless life

What baffles me is, non of the issues we discuss here probably come up in a sales demo. I mean for example on the demo units you just have single songs and many do not even think about the issue since most MP3 players just deal with. To me it looks very much like B&O doesn't further invest in what we ask for since it wouldn't increase sales

I think what happens is that they don't sell enough to justify the cost of updates. I know some might find the thought upsetting but rather then no improvements maybe paid upgrades are the way to go. I am so used to that from my computers ........ I also think that they are in way over their heads, there was supposed to be an increased product dev
