Ooh, woul dbe nice to win something :) I think I renewed my gold membership a bit too late though, but that's my own fault.

I think they are great in linkrooms, I've had my MCPs (an mcp6500, an mcp7000 and a 5000 (outside of the linksystem)) almost permanently placed on bedside tables and writing desks (where they often get used for telling the time, haha). At the moment, the mcp5000 is the only one on use (it's used here in my kitchen, where I have a bs5000, not

Hehe!

Why are there so many pictures of wires being exposed though? It spoils the aesthetics of the beosystem... big time
Oh, I agree. In my case it's only a matter of time - I've made a kind of cable trap to hide the cables underneath the table leaving only one powercord and the speaker cable visible (but all

I used to have my 7000 on a large sideboard, and sometimes I'd rearrange the system. In fact, I think it looks stunning in 1x4, 2x2 and 4x1 combinations, each combination has its own visual advantages :-) Nowadays the 7000 is placed on a tiny table, so 1x4 is the only option (see photo (yes, I really have to do something about that cable mess, haha

Ah, very interesting read. Thank you! I hope Soundproof will accept Peter's offer, it would be very interesting to read his comments (I value his opinion highly).

Thank you both for your input, I appreciate it a lot! Yep, I also think that a re-cap would be the best first step. Any opinions regarding the protection circuits in the speakers?
To tell the truth, I very seldom note where my posts go. I read almost exclusively through the "Posts you have not read" link - I only select a subforum when I start a new thread.
Me too. I think is a non-issue. Ok, maybe the oz/us forums are unneccessary (I don't have an opinion in that matter

Hi, As some of you may have seen in other threads, I haven't really been satisfied with the sonic qualities of my livingroom Beosystem & Beovox M150 combo. It simply sounds worse than my other systems (a couple of Beosystem 8000s with various speakers and a Beomaster 5000), the bass is loose and un.controlled (if you get what I mean) and the
