I'm pretty certain the 32 refers to a 32 KHz sample rate capability - I can't see what benefit 32bit float audio would be purely for playback of PCM audio. With the PowerLink inputs, 32 bit DAC/ADC could potentially offer quite a large performance boost especially when listening at lower levels... Omission of 96 KHz seems rather strange. This

The 32 refers to 32 KHz sampling rate. Why on earth you'd ever want to listen to audio with 32 KHz sample rate through a pair of £14k speakers is beyond me but there you go. RE the lack of 96KHz, I also always thought that was a bit strange. Maybe a gaffe too? It states 96 KHz in the service manual I'm looking at now...

From a picture quality point of view, the 7-40, 7-55, 8-40, 10-32, 10-40 and 10-46 are all significantly ahead of the 7-32, especially when comparing HD images (which is where the 7-32 still really, REALLY struggles IMO). I'd personally choose a 10-32 over a 7-32 any day for the picture, even taking the differences in features into account...

The Airplay situation is you plug-in an AirPort Express! Works perfectly, and should AirPlay not take off in the way it's intended too, then you don't end up with a bit of redundant technology inside the BeoSound 8. I saw/heard the BeoSound 8 yesterday - EXTREMELY impressed! The sound is really quite special - all the subtlety of 'proper' hifi, plenty of bass-extension (which is impressive for it's size), good overall tonal balance (maybe lending a little towards bass heavy, but not much, and in a pleasant way!), nice smooth top-end, really quite transparent

An extra tip would be only removing frequencies, not adding them. As soon as you start adding gain rather than removing it, you can potentially clip the signal-path (which shows itself as really bad distortion).

Looks interesting, and a great solution. I didn't know PureMusic could do this. You may want to look at investing in a better EQ plugin - the bundled OS X plugins do some strange things to transients. I use the Waves plugins (such as the Q8) which IMO sound much better. Make sure you don't start using analog emulations though! Most of these
