  • Re: Crazy

Unfortunately it is probably a little overpriced. There are dozens of these on ebay going unsold as no one wants CRT TV's any more. I have often toyed with buying one or two myself but the really poor tube reliability with the BV3's & Avants means they aren't even worth collecting from people giving them away. I see plenty going unsold

  • Re: Giant iThing dock...

What's wrong with these people? That tower is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen, for starters who here has 3.4 M ceilings? JMJ needs to stay away from the music industry altogether - his designs are even worse than his music - which I didn't think would be possible but he's proved me wrong on this one. Chris.

  • Re: Looking for a brand new Serene!

I'm curious as to why you would want ANY B&O mobile let alone a Serene & why the insistance on it being brand new? £2K for a supposedly unopened one is madness Every mobile phone that B&O have been involved with has been overly priced & lacking in functionality with the Serene being only slightly preferable to the equally rubbish

  • Re: Beogram 1800 Tonearm Set Down Adjustments

Hi, which model of BG1800 do you own? Is it the lightweight aluminium/smoked plastic one from the 1980's or the earlier heavyweight one with wooden trim from the late 1960's/early 1970's ? Chris.

  • Re: bad surprise - beolab 6000 frets on ebay

Just a thought Martin but were these bought on a "buy it now" sale? I only ask because in the UK all items listed on "Buy It Now" Ebay sales are subject to "Distance Selling" laws which basically give any buyer the right to return the goods for a full refund regardless of the reasons for doing so - this law doesn't

Hi Martin, if you didn't use paypal then you will struggle to get any refund. Ebay have absolutely no powers to make the seller issue you a refund if you pay by bank transfer. If the seller agrees to refund you I would be very reluctant to return the items before any refund is issued. All you have is the threat of leaving negative feedback &

  • Re: beocord 5500 problem

Classic symptoms of perished belts. Most BC5500's will have this problem now so unless the seller has changed them you are likely to find the next one will have the same problems sooner or later. Member Dillen (Martin) can supply an excellent set of new along with fitting instructions. Chris.

  • Re: Top Gear B&O

Speaking for myself & as a Brit, I love Top Gear & all the obviously staged silliness (judging by converstions I have - all of my friends & colleagues feel the same way). It's refreshing to me that the BBC don't bend to the "right on PC brigade" and still broadcast programmes which are obviously not intended to be taken
