You can easily, quickly and safely splice a length of cable in, with no loss of fidelity or functionality. We have similar layout, with other kit. Had Lab 40000 up where the lab 3 is in the picture..as L&R speakers...... so when we got some lab 6000, initially they went on the floor either side of the TV...with a view to moving the "rears" from the top left & right corners. Never bothered - it sounds great - the rear channel for films is

yep - MK1 Lab 4000 is phono to phono - easy !! Mk2 is phono to powerlink. The speakers will come in and out of standby as they need to - they "see" a signal and turn on...works fine. Bear in mind you need one sonos item hard wired to your router - which can be a zone bridge if nothing else needed in that room.
