  • Re: Beolab 1 Noise

Sorry if this seems like an ignorant question, but you're not using the power amplifier in the receiver to drive the speakers, right? I ask because of the way you phrased this: "...I believe this has to do with something between the output of the receiver to the speaker drivers." I'm just confused. Assuming you're correctly using

  • Re: Komplet Beomaster 8000 / Beolab 8000 system sælges

I wish you had been selling this system earlier in the year, before I got the one I ended up with and had UPS try their best to destroy it during shipping. I would've bought it in a heartbeat. Good price I think. And it's been serviced already by the best! :) Jon

  • Re: Tweeter Driver for RL 60,2 8480200

Do you mean D25TG-05's? I had those in my Beovox S80.2's. These would be Vifa's newest version of them. I think the D25 were a coated silk dome, and the D26's were a coated fabric of a different type. Look here: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=264-524 This should be an almost exact replacement. I bet you wouldn't

Also, check this thread: http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/t/19736.aspx I don't know if any of those might be swapable into an RL60. Ask Martin (Dillen) if he might happen to have any. He's awesome!

It's possible that it's the driver itself. Do you have a multimeter? If you measure the DC resistance of the driver, it should give you a reading. If it doesn't, then the voice coil is an open circuit, and is blown. If it is the tweeter, you can probably source a suitably close replacement from a speaker distributor like Madisound. My experience

  • Re: A BM8000 question and some pics...

Martin, Thanks for the advice. I'll just clean the board up and not worry about it. Thanks again for the awesome cap kit, by the way! It's so clear with the colored legend and pictures. Regards, Jon

  • A BM8000 question and some pics...

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone could help me with a question I had regarding my Beomaster 8000. I bought one of Martin's cap kits for it, and finally had a little bit of time today to start on it. Anyway, when I took out the tuner board, I found this: It looks like some kind of dried residue on the board around these two odd (to me) looking

  • Re: BeoVox crossover

Well, I don't know anything about the original crossover design of these particular speakers, so the best thing I can suggest would be to either try and get the originals back, or find the service manual for this model, check out the Xover schematic, make sure your components and values match up, and change them out if they don't. Hope that

  • Re: BeoVox crossover

Did he replace the capacitors in the crossovers, or do you mean that he tossed the original crossovers completely, and stuck in some off-the-shelf units? The latter would not be good, as they wouldn't replicate the proper transfer functions. You'd have many phase anomolies and frequency response irregularities. Jon

  • Just bought a Beocenter 9000...

...on Ebay for $90. It looks pretty decent; definitely something restorable (or mostly, anyway). So, what I wanted to ask, was for any recommendations regarding things to replace and parts upgrades. I've read about the CD holder mechanism breaking, and that there are no new parts made for it anymore. Also, about the certain cap (C2103 or something
