The only problem is, when I finish watching a film and switch to Sat (my Virgin Box) on my RF Avant, the sound does not come through but the picture does. Hi all, I recently bought a digital coax cable to connect my DVD1 to my Avant 32" RF VCR. The thing is, I'm not sure how to tell if the sound is now coming through the coax rather than the Scart! I was hoping the Dolby sign would appear on the Avant's display but no such luck! Can anyone help? Thanks

I have now purchased and connected a digital coax cable. The only problem is I'm not sure the sound is travelling through it and not the SCART. Can anyone tell me how I can tell?

Hi All I am just about to purchase a digital coax cable to pipe the sound from my DVD1 to my 32" RF VCR Avant in my main room. Before I do this, does anyone know if this will cause me any sound issues in the link room? Currently there are no problems playing and hearing a DVD's in the link room Thanks

Hi All I have an Airport Express linked to the camcorder inputs on my 32" RF VCR Avant in the main room. The sound plays through this TV no problems, yet in a linked room it does not! I get Virgin V+ and my DVD1 in the linked room no problem (they are all attached to the Avant in the main room), so can't understand why the above doesn't

Oh and one other thing! Would this mean I won't get sound when watching a DVD in a link room (DVD1 is in the main living room)?

Thanks for the advice all, I think I will get a 1m cable and give it a try. Does anyone have any recommendations? I was thinking of getting something decent from QED or IXOS but you guys may feel this is overkill and won't actually give any benefit over a more economy cable. Cheers

Hi All I have a RF 32" Avant with the Dolby board + a DVD1, and no external speakers. Currently they are connected by Scart but I was considering feeding the digital signal from the DVD1 to the Avant (on input 1 or 2) via a digital co-ax. The question is, would it make any difference to the sound since I don't actually have any external speakers
