  • Re: What is the replacement for a BeoLink 5000?

The Beo4 was the replacement though you lose some features. The BL5000 is however still available, as Phil says. The BeoTime is not a very useful remote control! Good timer though!

  • Re: beosound 3000 help ??

You need to reset the options - at present it will be option 0 - you need option 1. Put everything into standby. On the Beo4, press the red dot and menu at the same time. Then with the list button go to option setting and say Go. Go to A.OPT and type 1. A LED on the 3000 should blink. It should then work fine!

  • Beolab 5000 system article in Hi-Fi News

February's edition of Hi-Fi News has an article about someone in the UK with a fully Frede restored Beolab 5000 system - described as the only fully complete system in the UK. Well I suppose I have given away the reel to reel deck but I do have the rest! And I think several of us do! Is Mark a member here? Well worth the price of entry (apart from

  • Re: Beovox 3702 speaker developing a buzz.

You will need to get the front off. Martin will know more than me but the usual method with this type of speaker is to use a broad flat piece of metal - a wall paper scraper works well for me - and place this between the black cloth and the metal surround. The grille is often held on with magnets though sometimes there are plastic clips. The woofer

  • Re: Turntable Distortion - Beogram RX-2

I can't see why there should be a problem. The MMC4 will actually have a slightly lower output that a normal MM cartridge. I was going to lend you a new cartridge but customs to where you are prohibit this from being a sensible solution!

In that case it is most likely to be the cartridge. There really isn't much else it could be as the wires from the arm essentially go directly to the DIN plug.

  • Re: ibundo pro to beosystem3- how to connect ?

Suggest you ask the company that sells this. You could designate the 2300 as something else I suppose.

  • Re: B&O high tech solution

All in favour of saving energy but the addition of a switch on the power cord is not what I would expect! I would suggest that some form of battery back up allied to a motion sensor would have been the high tech solution, allowing the system to be switched back on to mains power remotely and also not disrupting the PIN system. I believe global warming

  • Re: Let it Snow !!

All melting here - causing water to come through the roof as the central gutter between my two roofs is full of ice! Back on the roof again and cleared it - that is twice in a month - too often!!
