• Re: Dirigent 610K

Thanks, I'll try that, hope I can take you up on your kind offer I suppose the normal current at little/no load should be in the ballpark of tens of milliamps? I'm in no hurry so I guess it won't hurt if I check first that all resistors are about in spec. There are no apparently leaking caps. The only signs of heat are around the power output

  • Dirigent 610K

I just got a beautiful Dirigent 610K which doesn't work. Although the user interface is far from self explanatory, I believe I tried every proper way but no sound at all came out. I took it open and found it to be very clean inside, with no signs of heat or other damage. All the tubes glow. However, the 1000 ohm safety resistor on the main cap has

Let me introduce my latest this-will-stay-forever acquisition... a clean, nicely working bakelite Beolit 41, local find with help from Ville

  • Re: Beogram 8000/6006 cueing

Since your schematic cut-out above seems to be from the older(?) service manual scan, have you looked at the other one we have on site (larger file size)? It mentions a modification to the raise/lower circuit (you seem to have it though if your turntable matches the schematic you quoted) and also shows an extra 10n cap across B/C of TR9. Dunno if that

Gentlemen, may I suggest you trim the quotations a bit (don't include the pictures) when it is otherwise clear which pictures you are referring to. We now have the same (although very nice!) pictures three times on top of each other. Not a real problem otherwise, but IMHO it makes browsing the thread a bit tedious (oh my poor scroll wheel! ) and

  • Re: iPod dock

I don't doubt that... but do you really expect them to do 'customer service' against instructions from the headquarters, and risk their business from that side?

  • Re: iPod dock

If a dealer isn't very helpful about products whose specs haven't even been released yet, I don't think complaining about it is exactly going to lead anywhere...

  • Re: Beogram 4002 no arm movement

Let me cover for you Never would've noticed that red cap! And the brushes are tiny... The foam is perhaps 3 times thicker at the places where the shell hasn't compressed it. It might allow a bit too hard contact with the shell when the belt is pulling the motor to one side as well.

  • Re: Beogram 4002 no arm movement

The three other Beograms I have here should be able to cover for an occasional outage... Actually these motors seem very sturdy (unless some other fault causes damage to them). I got the spare in hope it would be more silent than the one my 6000 currently has, but after following this thread, I think I'll just try to clean the old one. It emits

  • Re: Why is your Posting Getting Moderated for no Apparent Reason ?

Yes, I approved it. This time I believe the culprit is the formatting in your signature! There's a long span of (non-breaking space) tags before the "[...]" part, and I think it might be enough to trigger the repetition detector depending on what else you post contains. If altering that doesn't help, then well, over to Keith
