Macsat, In answer to your last line, the simple answer is YES The HELP file is available for public download, its ONLY the software itself which requires you to be a silver or gold member.

When downloading the HELP file (CHH format) which is in a ZIP file, save the zip file to your computer and extract the help file and then run it. If you try and double click on the help file within the zip file you will get page not found. CHH format means " C ompiled H TML H elp file" which until recently was Microsoft's standard helpfile

Well, perhaps we can open the question up to other Beoworld members who may have a Beo5 and an Xbox. If anyone has an Xbox and a Beo5 with the configuration software, then I can provide an XML file for you to test.

Whilst I would expect it to be the Xbox 360, I don't know for sure. However, if you have a Beo5 I can provide an XML file for you to test. If it works or not in the Beo5 will provide the answer..

If you are unable to move your Beosound 9000 and your unit is a Mark I or earlier Mark II version then you could get your dealer to replace the infra-red receiver as Russ has suggested, but in the position you have the Beosound 9000, it may improve the situation, but is unlikely to totally solve it. Other solutions which do not involve moving the Beosound

So, based the information at the bottom of your post you have a Beosound 9000 with speakers, so the Beosound 9000 is receiving the infra-red signal from your remote and I assume it does not work or only works sometimes. As stated before your Beosound 9000 is in one of the worst places when it comes to it being overpowered by the plasma screen. If it
