Currently listening to Aja by Steely Dan . Was listening to this on BeoLab 9s yesterday, and it sounded absolutely stunning. Now it just sounds rubbish on my B&Ws at home!

I'd actually go as far as saying the BeoLab 5s provide the most controlled, smooth and dynamic bass I've heard coming from a pair of speakers...

BeoLab 9s as fronts definitely, but I'd look for BeoLab 3s or 4000s as rears instead...

It generally struggles with any music with a fast/detailed bassline - I'd recommend some electronic music to particularly show up any limitations in loudspeakers...

I'd say go for it as well, although you'll probably find yourself wanting a BeoLab 2 to go with them, they don't produce as much bass as you'd expect...
