[quote] Where are the market advantages that Apple would obtain from buying B&O? List the advantages? What technological advantages do B&O have that Apple would want? What key trademarks do they own that Apple do not own? These are the primary reasons for any company takeover. Apple doesn't go around buying companies 'for the sake of

For me the Beomaster 1200 and 1203 Beogram. Of non-B&O products I have a Jacob Jensen phone as used on 'The Apprentice' boardroom reception desk. Great design at a non B&O price! Graham

On Beoworld there's a tendency to always be upbeat and positive about B&O even when having a moan about a particular product. If you take a look at the financial reports on B&O via Google, and then take a look at the comments that people have made on those articles, a different perception appears. 1. Brokers are generally saying hold or

Mechanical movement Trias retrograde watch. High quality swiss movement. Flyback minute hand. Your brain is so used to the conventional analogue dial that the retrograde type makes you stop and think, especially when someone asks you the time- you simply can't reply instantly! Sit opposite someone at a table and you can see that they spend half

The company seems to have had the same ups and downs as B&O in many ways (but unlike B&O got taken over and lost some of it's true idiosyncratic but original design approaches.) What does the future hold with the

Best item for picture and sound: Avant 32 DVD. Best value: pre-owned BC1 (little used for £420 with Beocord V8000). Worst item: the video stand that came with the BC1 which I replaced with a wall mount from Lifestyle. (I've removed the stub support from the video stand and it now makes a great side unit with the V8000 on top and the freeview

Separate post so as not to detract from Peter's original message. By chance I was viewing images in the Media section yesterday and noticed that clicking for enlarged equipment images and comments relating to 'Eduard' submissions had been disabled by moderators. I assume that the above relates to the same person and explains this disabling

See 'This bothers me a lot' thread. Why not ask B&O for a formal link on their website back to Beoworld? Graham

B&O could do much more concerning their heritage products as highlighted here. One approach would be for Lee to ask for a reciprocal link from B&O to Beoworld as part of any deal on allowing B&O to advertise on this site. Also, B&O should make or recommend suitable adapters for allowing old products e.g. turntables, to connect to moderm
