  • Re: Ideas for a new product

You're quite right, Flappo. In a few months there will be literally thousands of amazing applications that will run on iPhones, iPod Touch, and the new (rumoured) tablet from Apple. And controlling B&O should be one of those app's - but nowadays we don't have to wait for corporations to do what's obvious. I gather that the iRed guys

  • Re: Bang Olufsen official site has stolen my picture

I've spent quite a bit of time buying artwork for commercial use during the years, and even creating some. Rule number 1 - don't disseminate materials you wish to have copyright protected without properly labeling them as such. In this particular instance, it's not a matter of made up law, but of an entity protecting itself using extant

    Yes, and it actually works!

Trouble with voice control of an a/v system is that you'll usually be playing something, which will drown your voice and make control difficult. My in-car system requires me to push a button and then speak -- I'd say go for a really simplified remote, and preferably two-way, though I now have screens in just about every room and am doing OK

Had a look at your Photo Album page at the B&O site, Mr. Anderson. Your photo is there, and they can use it as they wish ... http://www.bang-olufsen.com/Community/photos/photo-thumbnails.asp?albumid=102 All corporations that allow uploads of content from community members have pretty waterproof wording as to the display and use of such content,

  • Re: Mac PC2 and DAC?

iTunes at 320kbps and lower will seem harsher if you have a full resolution reference and are playing back on good speakers. You might want to check your settings for iTunes, though. Make sure you have no equalizer, volume leveler, sound enhancers or anything of the like enabled. After having spent a long time now listening to lossless files, playing

Tricky. I happen to know they are very careful about not using materials they don't have the right to. Did you post the image on their web-site? If so, did you read the statement concerning content there? http://www.bang-olufsen.com/page.asp?id=63 Bang & Olufsen does not want to receive confidential or proprietary information from you through

  • Re: BeoVision 8 observations and questions about how to hook up devices

Soundproof, I hear what your saying about the BV8's speakers being good all by themselves, and from what you've said it sounds like you think the Apple TV to BV8 via HDMI is a great little set-up (i.e. it's perfect without the BL3s). However, I'm still interested in trying to use my BL3s when listening to music from the Apple TV (I won't

Since you have the BL3s connected to the BV8 it's worth actually trying SPEAKER 3, to see if you like it. I had BL3s on floorstands and got a very nice soundstage. BUT - I also like just having the sound out of the BV8's speakers. At any rate - built into the BV8 you have all you need to get B&O control of your music and movies. Connect

  • Re: BeoLab 3's and Mac tower

Puncher recommended this above, and it looks very good. USB from MAC to the unit, and then you just take the analog signal from it to your BeoLab speakers, and the unit provides you with a volume control. http://www.emu.com/products/product.asp?category=610&subcategory=611&product=15186
