B&O's customer base falls into 2 main categories as far as I can see: those like us that appreciate the brand, embrace its wonder, put up with its quirks and brush its failings under the carpet, but *usually* can't afford all the latest, greatest gear (or we're still in love with the one (or three
Moxxey, I was giving Beonut hope, I was not suggesting that Apple would do anything, and certainly it is not one of my dreams, so please take my comment as more of a response with no meaning, merely idle conversation, thank you Peter
I was replying generically as it's a conversation/topic that is often
now would be a good time for Apple Inc to buy B&O
That's not going to happen. B&O and Apple serve different markets and, whilst Apple mass-manufacture in China, the impression B&O give is that their products are hand-built in Denmark. Buying a current loss-leading company would have no benefits

I own the 9s and the 3s and prefer the 3s for digital audio and CD playback. However, the 9s are superb when watching movies. If you're going to connect them up to your TV, you'll notice a big difference compared to the 3s. The 3s are fine for music playback though, particularly in a small space.
I never considered anything different
You didn't, I know, but there were two or three genuined threads (from people who'd heard from their dealer!) going around on here from people saying that B&O were bringing out an OLED TV, at the end of the year, and it was likely to be the BV7-55 (as if the
Bang & Olufsen is also far along with the development of an entirely new TV model for the BeoVision 7 family. This TV will be a 55 inch Full HD model, which among other things builds on 100/120 Hz technology. Among the other functions are integrated LED light
Doh! I *knew* it wouldn't be OLED after people

Are you sure it's not your music source (ie. your type of music)? Most modern music is very 'flat' and is designed for the MP3 generation. Your BL9s will simply play the music 'as is'. For example, I own the BL5s and BL9s and are 'disappointed' with both with some new CDs. Not because they are poor speakers, but as the engineering
The BM5 has the audio card with masterlink/powerlink sockets etc
True, but these could either have been built in to the back of the BS5 and cables taken down the base/stand or the BM5 could have been a far smaller box. I can hide the Mac Mini under a small chest of drawers (as it's WiFi, it only needs one
BV10 is rumoured to be a very thin TV: No place for a player.
If Sony could get a drive in to their PS3 in 2007, I'm sure B&O can get a slimline Blu-ray player in to a BV10 by late 2009. Even if it's 2" deep, it should be possible. Mind you, I don't see the value of a player in a slimline
No doubt in my mind, the BS5 should have been self-powered, wireless and portable - today's MCP.
I don't see why we even need the BM5. Why couldn't B&O produce their own app that sits on top of Windows or a Mac on a host PC/Mac? ie. why can't I simply install it on my Mac Mini and then wirelessly
