As long as you have a line out source it will work fine.

Not a huge fan of the 6000 - I think the 4000 is better - bigger volume and driver - but they are OK. The cable should be fine though I am not a huge fan of using MP3 players to drive £1500 speakers!

Are you you using the Sky box in the bedroom or are you using the one in the main room? You can control the box in the main room from the bedroom from almost any set - I use an LX6000 which has no STB-C as you are actually using the STB-C in the main room set. The problem you may have if you want to control a bedroom Sky box is getting the STB card

I have had both - they do differ considerably in circuit design to the 4400 but are fine sounding for their age. Either would be a reasonable buy at the right price - I got my 3000 for £30. The other receiver to look out for is the 70s BM 2000 or 2200. These are often cheap and have a more modern design than the 3000 both internally and in the

I have a BV10 with the digital tuner. I have no problems with it but confess to mainly using SkyHD as i get more channels and I can record. I do note that my V8000 no longer works as expected but I have not used that seriously for some time. For those without Sky+ or similar, I can understand some frustration.

I take it that you have the later touch sensitive Beomaster 2000. The Beogram 2000 has the advantage over the RX of having Datalink so that you only have to press one button on the Beomaster and the Beogram will start. An alternative would be the Beogram 3000, which is a tangential tracking deck. The best MMC is the MMC1 but this would be overkill.

Sound quality is always a slightly contentious issue as what one person likes may not be the same as another. B&O have in the past had two ranges - the hi-fi range and the audio range. The Hi-Fi range is where the engineers have been allowed their full rein and these will be comparable with the better of their competitors. Examples are: Beolab 5000
-
Pretty sure that is correct. You have to clean the record anyway! The datalink in the 6002 was only one way which was an oddity. These two decks are very similar in many ways to the 4002 and are very under rated.
-
Yes- it could be the voice coil rubbing.

Just as good and better compared to something new costing the same. Any peripheral device with Datalink can connect to the Beomaster so you can mix and match.
