Yes right, just checked, even if nothing is connected to Zone 2, it turns on, in the manual its says trigger 12 V only for zone 2.
The Onkyo setup I just did, I believe used the zone 2 line out for recording purposes... Don't quite remember, something like that though

I use silicon grease for moving mecanical parts, also for the rail, for the platterbearing/spindle I use normal Ball bearing grease, to apply the silicon I use pipe cleaners and tooth pics, and clean of all old grease and hardened oil before lubing. Welcome to our forum, and have fun

Bobble wrap 2-3 layers box with 2" Styrofoam all around and Styrofoam cut to fit where needed, double box with 1" styrofoam between inner and outer box, if not a tight fit, fill with Styrofoam. If frets are removed and packed seperately, tape a piece of heavy cardboard over the drivers. IMO the drivers are best protected where they are.

The satin polyU. is a nice finish and will last for years, Linseed or Danish oil needs a treatment once a year. Boiled Liseed oil gives the same result as Danish oil, which is mainly Linseed oil with some additives to make it harder, but boiled Linseed oil is, like French polish, an old and traditional way to tread and protect wood. I use marine grade
