I have a really nice Apple Cinema Display on my home office desk, connected to a MacBook Pro. The best of both worlds -- and a solution I'd definitely recommend. As Peter says above, if you are traveling a lot, the Air is a handy solution, but then you should have a larger unit at home. I can't really add anything to effective solutions, though

I'm using version 2.6.6 with Leopard. No problems - it's from 2005.

Both are great speakers. The BL4000s are the bargain in B&O's range of speakers. Both are strong for acoustic music. If the BL3s you heard in the shop hadn't been run in, which takes about 200 hours, that would account for their sounding strained. The material in the round black lenses needs to get a work-out, in order to be properly responsive

Totally agree. This exposes non-B&O customers to the brand's excellence, and should be a major area of activity. Their interim CEO has stated that it will remain a company priority.

I think Puncher's recommendation looks very promising: http://www.zzounds.com/item--EMU0202 And believe that David Moulton has also made a recommendation as to DAC in the Duet's price category. http://www.stereo-link.com

In general, the worldwide luxury market has grown powerfully since 2001, driven by demand in Asia (not Japan) and the former Eastern Block, but also fueled by generous lending programmes in the US and Europe which put a lot of money in the pockets of consumers. The LVMH group has had outstanding growth in this period, as have many other luxury brands

I have the SRU8015. Compared it to the 9600. I like that the top coloured buttons on the 8015 are actual buttons. I have used them to program a number of different sources, and can use them in the dark, just by the touch of my finger. On the 9600 these are virtual buttons on the display. For instance, my Plasma screen's different sources relate

1. Your BeoSystem 3 contains DACs. You should be able to send your digital signal into one of its digital IN connectors, either from a CD-player, DVD-player or computer. The DACs inside BeoSystem 3 are very sophisticated, and can handle up to 32-bit/192kHz files (the sampling rate may be even higher, but I'm sure about the wordlength of 32-bit.

Congrats with your Benchmark, it's a very nice DAC - I had one for a while before replacing it with a Grace m902 because I found the sound of the latter a little less sharp. As you, I'm using speakers with acoustic lenses, and the fact that these radiate without the sound being "mellowed" by floor or room interactions (which you don't
