Andy's spot on about the weight. My 28 inch RF turned up in the B&O shipping crate and two burly blokes could barely lug the thing up the stairs at the front of my house. My vote would be to get the original crate, but if you can't, then don't lay the set down on its back/front if avoidable. The manufacturer clearly shipped it upright

Yes - there are binding posts. You expose the wires, and wrap them around the binding post, then screw the nut up to keep the wires in place. Unless I'm missing something, that's it! Peter - help me if I'm wrong!

Yep - just chop them off. The binding posts are for bare wires!

Single wirable - there are two binding posts under the towers for +ve and -ve wires.
