The european TV that you buy will most likely not be able to control japanese cable or sat boxes via STB. Did you consider the BV8? That will come soon to Japan I believe Cheers JK

If you don't mind loosing the 5.1 track I would recommend handbrake. I import my movies into Itunes afterwards and watch them through frontrow. Average file size is less then 1GB for a 100 minute movie JK

Does the SD tuner really matter that much? Most I would assume receive their signal via cable or satellite I assume so no internal tuner is needed. Cheers JK

I think I agree with the pricing argument, the super sized BV7 would be difficult to position unless a customer prefers the design of the BV7 over BV9. What is that menu that is visible on the screen from the pictures SAF posted? Is this beomedia? I thought that looks different? The artist BT that is visible was a neighbor of mine while living in New Jersey. JK

That said, since the press release and pictures are all over the internet why do they not update their website. Not sure what they mean by launch, maybe one of the dealer can post when they will hit stores. JK

I think at 20% off I would consider both BC6 and BV7. I would probably do BC6 and add a projector and screen down the line. How much is the viewing distance and how much TV do you really watch?
