How much do you think it would have cost for B&O to produce this product? not. alot.
I googled and found a price of about 250-290 Australian dollars, if so the motherboard is pretty expensive, for what it is... Someone surely knows better?

There seems to be 3 versions available. 600MHZ, 1000 MHZ and 1200MHZ. Only the 600MHZ version is "specified" as a fanless processor version. The picture you posted seems to be without a processor fan, only using a heatsink. Or do they use the other fan, on the wall between the HD and motherboard as a CPU fan? Hardly very effective if so.

W.E. is right. The Beolab 2, in terms of Subwoofers only "tickle the surface". It's way too small with way too small drivers. ELAC is pretty close to my heart, as I used to have their flagship speakers, for my high-end system before I went for the Beolab 5's. The ELAC 2060 and especially the 2080 subwoofer are really good. I hope Beo

http://www.scanteknik.fi/?p=productview&cid=1&pid=147 Here's ELAC's version of a double-opposite subwoofer. It has an ICE power amp. Perhaps Beo is going to build something similar...?
Will there be in the future more speakers from B&O with a digital connextion and not only in the high-end class?
I've been thinking about the same thing, hopefully we will se more and more speakers using the same technology as the Beolab 5's. Does the 9's have digital inputs BTW?

Soundproof, exactly, couldn't agree more. And just to clarify to others, the Mac mini should not be seen as a substitute to my BS9000. This one I'm going to save. The mini is just a faster more convenient way of listening to my large music collection, and a good DVD player. I'm hoping to add a Beovision 5 (because it's the most beautiful

Soundproof, I tried to mach the volume, of course I couldn't get it exact, but pretty close. I always have the treble / bass set to neutral. The sound difference is comparable to putting a dense cloth in front of the speakers when having the PL connected compared to the digital input.
I personally wouldn't say PowerLink is a 'no-go' with BeoLab 5s, it's just that connecting them to a bit-perfect output produces a notably better sound and means you don't have to rely on any of the circuitry in the source! Just one thing to check, make sure you're running your MacMini at 44.1 kHz
