Generally speaking you do not need to upgrade the software unless you have a problem which needs to be fixed. Only minor issues are resolved after version 2.1 and certainly nothing which would warranty a software upgrade. To make even it more confusing the BV6 manual says if the DVB-T module is fitted you access STB menu via V-AUX - but my dealer doesn't agree. Says the STB won't work. Thank you for your kind feedback.. That should be the last of the maintenance until the new year when I will be upgrading the forum to use Community Server 2008 which has been running as a test forum since August. The upgraded forum will provide many new features.

Chris, Your dealer is correct. You can only have one STB control output on a Beovision 7 if you have DVB-T

Dave: Just for good measure, only the BV7-40 has the BS3 chassis, the 32"-version doesn't. Well, I see you all passed the Wednesday Test , very well done I agree the Mark III 40 inch contains the Beosystem 3 chassis
