Hoe zit het met de "ploffende" beeldbuizen van Avant, (in verhouding veel kortere levensduur) was dat een bepaald type / versie van Avant ? Zo ja, dan zouden we daar rekening mee kunnen houden bij het geven van advies wanneer iemand Avant wil kopen.

Bij MX 6000/7000: plastic strips boven en onder verwijderen door ze op de hoek in te drukken en tegelijkertijd naar buiten te bewegen. Daarna de 4 hoekschroeven verwijderen, glasplaat is dan los. Same, here, when i used a "bad" cable (AUX between MX and Beomaster), when controlling the Beomaster by remote, after a few seconds there were these "data-beeps" I changed the AUX cable and the problem was solved.

As far as i remember, it makes sure that you can still use the 2-way Beolink 7000, even though the connected Beovision is 1-way. And it enables communication between Beolink 7000 and Beomaster 7000, even when the Option setting on Beomaster is set to 0 (infrared deactivated) I'm not 100% sure about this, as i use a Beomaster 6500 with Beolink 7000

My MBP used to play Airtunes via Airport Express to Beosystem. However, after a software-update, the "external speakers" are no longer visible in iTunes. The Airport Express itself produces a humming noise on the Beosystem when the jack-plug is connected to the Airport Express. Any ideas what might cause this ?

Is the wii registered correctly in the Avant ? If the Avant doesn't "know" what is connected, it can't relay the audio. So, if you add for example V.TAPE2 to Beo4 list, make sure V.TAPE2 is also registered in the Avant sockets menu.
