Dillen: Depending on the version of Beocord 5000. If the 80s version in same design as the 5500, I have belts for both. Martin Martin's belt kits are excellent quality too. Craig

Well I did think they may be a problem with the cables. Tested them from the plug to the head and there are no problems as far as I can tell. Where does the middle wire from each plug go? As there are three wires at the plug but only two go to each channel of the head. Craig

KingOfSnake: Is anybody using the above and experiencing any problems? Have used Beoport with XP without problems such as mixed sound from PC as well (mixed sound turned off in config panel). Is Beoport Vista friendly? When I tried to install Beoport on my PC running Vista there was one problem. Some albums not all of them, appeared in alphbetical order

How do you test a playback head? At the moment I ma trying to fix a Beocenter 2200 I was given. Last night I fitted a new set of drive belts (Thanks Martin ) Now I can only get sound out of the Left channel. All othere sources work ok and I have swapped the two connectors over that come form the playback herad. This causes no sound in the Right channel
