Did anyone try with a SAB8031A-P ? Martin

Suche: Beomaster 6500 Prozessor Modul oder komplettes Gerät als Teilespender. Martin

I agree, very nice ! Funny to see the Beogram 1000 with that platter. It was not sold like that so it must be a photo of a prototype. Looks like a platter design that lies between the well known of the Beogram 1000 and the previous model 610. Martin

That DIN plug is the only plug ever to be standardized for home stereo speakers. Everything else is non-standard and/or proprietary. Martin

The relay cannot break the connections from the cartridge to the DIN socket. It can merely ground the signals. Does it click apprx one second after the tonearm has landed on the record ? Martin

Pete, Welcome to Beoworld ! I can supply the metal tachodisc. It's an exact repro part in stainless steel, precisely fabricated to the hysterical tolerances needed to get it right. PM me for details. Does the servo motor try to rotate ? Does it rotate if you take off the belt ? Martin

Rich, Thanks for the feedback on the cap kit. The Beovox S40 will also benefit from new caps. A kit is available and replacing is about the same job as you did in the S45.2's. Apart from the caps and foam rot, as mentioned, to some of them, the S40's are usually in good shape. There's really not a lot that can go wrong either. Martin

Looking for a processor module for a Beomaster 6500. Software revision is not important but a working module would be preferred. Located in Denmark but will gladly pay for part + postage and will also consider a complete Beomaster. Martin

Could also be a missing ground connection somewhere. There's a short black wire behind the amplifier board. If that doesn't work, you will have no measure around a bit. Start with the idle currents. Martin

Thanks for the inputs, guys. Greatly appreciated ! The radio is not mine. I was asked to make it work but that does not remove the dilemma. It just eliminates the choice of leaving it alone, which I probably wouldn't have done anyways if it was my own. If it was a very rare and unique item, there would probably be more sense in leaving it well alone
