Only active subs can be used, for your sound level, do the audyssey, then. the source you want to play, home, audio, dynamic EQ on, dynamic volume light, music optimizer on or of. this way you will get the normal listening level to some 30-35, I run with bass and treble on +10 dcb, and get a good bass on my BL8000, your BL 6000 will be a little less

Well IMO its overkill, these will do just fine and you wont hear any difference, tell me how it worked out, and your speaker setup.

First thing in nearly all vintage. Change all caps, change trimmers where posible to adjust without problems, clean the rest carefully.

The RCA plug is for a 2 string cable for speaker connection, its the same cable as used for passive speakers, the inner pin on the RCA is the signal (+), and the outer "ring" is the ground (negative), any electronic or speaker shop will have these in different length. Radio schack or something like that. To get used to your new equipment read

In the BL 4000 where you connect the cables there is a small switch, 3 positions, Right, Left and Line. the connection panel on the BL 4000 has 3 connections, 2, 8 pin din and 1 RCA line in. for the preamp connection you will need a speaker cable with 2 male RCA plugs, one end to amp and the other end to line in on BL 4000
