Your problem sounds like the mains transformer laminations are vibrating at mains frequency, not uncommon. If this is the issue, then it can be resolved quite quickly depending on transformer type (i.e. screwed or bonded)

Last week the poll focused on the configuring of the Beo5 and just 32 members voted and out of these no dealers charged for additional configuration changes. Two members ( 6.3% ) showed that they were totally satisified with the setup the dealer had done, but this number is a little mis-leading because so many members who voted had the Configuration

If it does not work on your laptop, then we can only come to the conclusion that you have had a hardware failure within the box. If, however it does work meaning no apparent hardware fault with the PC2, then I would use the Windows Restore function to go back to a point when you know it had previously worked.

Well, the box could be faulty, but based on your previous statement I had assumed that it was previously working correctly and you had just re-installed the software, is that correct ? Did you plug it into a different and known working USB port ? Since the Beoport was last working has there been any other changes to teh configuration or your PC ?

I don't think that you have screwed anything up at all. I suggest you start by rebooting your PC and run the installation program again leaving the USB connected. If it still fails, then it is most likely that something has happen with the driver and you will have to manually uninstall it.
