Xseries: Otherwise I would try the 6000/8000 and add a CDx then for speakers - the best Uniphase you can lay your hands on! I'd go with this - try a Beolab 8000 system (I have one) with a CDX and some Ms150.2s (if you can find them), or my own personal choice of Beovox Pentas. They suit the 8000 amp SO WELL!!! :)
Nice job Martin, looks very good. Craig
Yep - super-neat. Great job :)
-
Yep - try sending a PM to user Dillen (Martin Olsen). He can supply them for a few Euros.

I don't follow minority sports ;) but it's good to see any Leeds team doing well!

Friedmett: Beocord 9000 still plays Metallica live at Wembley 1990. My newly fixed Beocord 8004 (thanks to Dillen!) is playing 'Whatever' single by Oasis from 1994 - well worth having old B&O fixed up for the pleasure of owning these fine machines :)

Your AV9000 looks absolutely mint next to the BL8000s and the BL2 :)

Ok Martin - one for the 'to fix' list I think!

Just looking at the board - everything looks ok and intact. Could I 'untweak' the coils, or does this need to visit a repair shop?

Hi Martin I'm running this off 5 D cell batteries. There had been a previous leak in the battery compartment that had corroded the negative terminal that slides back and forth. I've cleaned it up after a fashion, and the multimeter shows DC current going in to the set. Does this shed any light on things?

Just got hold of a 1970s JJ Beolit 600. It has a weird problem in that it powers up, and a feint hiss can be heard on both FM and LW bands. On the MW band there is full volume when the tuning slider is between 1200-1400 (there are no stations I can pick up in this range) and there is very weak volume on all stations either side of the 1200-1400 range
