• Re: Beosound 9000 Serial Number 15xxxxxxx

N-Music makes it compatible with your computer and Beoport software which enables you to play music which is stored on your hard disk. The MK1 and MK2 can be upgraded for N-Music by fitting replacement software at minimal cost of around £20 plus fitting. The upgrade is fully explained in a FAQ written by Keith Saunders.
Some fair - albeit debatable - points Peter. There is in my view a commercial element to the site, but one point we do agree on is that it is a shame that a member feels compelled to withdraw completely. Am not sure about the Spam filter though, it seems akin to asking 'Why was my order not despatched?' and

The MK2 has the red on/off button on the back and the MK3 does not. Values are difficult to estimate as they are going up and down at the moment. If selling I am sure you would hope to get £1400-1500 for the MK2 9000 alone and more for a MK3.

  • Re: Beolab 8000 front grill/fret removal

You've bought them at a "trade" price and they are in typical "trade" or eBay condition by the sound of it. A trader would now spend some money on them, so that's what you will have to do. Ask your friendliest local dealer for a quote. I would guess £250-300 which will still make them a cheap pair of speakers.

  • Re: Power amp for BeoCenter 2500 and Mission 753s

The Beocenter 2500 is used as a pre amp in B&O systems so the output from the powerlink sockets is essentially a 1 volt volume controlled signal suitable for the QUAD power amps and many others. All you will need is a suitable cable which I am sure you could get from one of our sponsors who's banner appears at the bottom of every page!

  • Re: Motorized Stand Question for Beovision MX Series
I live in Cologne, Germany - but we still got a flat in London as well ... but if it's not an easy plug-n-play I probably would not go through the trouble of "upgrading" from the 7000 to the 8000
I have an 8000 type motor which I would willingly swap for a 4 pin type. Is it worth it for you?

  • Re: Motorized Stand Question for Beovision MX Series
Thanks for your quick reply Graham. Is there any adapter or would the motorized stand simply be useless for the 8000?
It is only the motors that are different, the stand itself is identical.
Be careful Dave....I bought a pair without being able to test them a couple of years ago for £500, but they cost me another £500 to put right - blown internal amps and woofers. At £1,000 they were still good value though. Would be best if you can get the buyer to agree to take them back if they're
