Rather negates the point. Not sure about this amplifier, but quite a few of the cheaper valve amplifiers have a solid state pre-amp and a valve power amp.

Maybe a vintage speaker like the Beovox 2400 - easy to drive as valve speakers do not produce a lot of power.

The Jarmans get them at a reduced price, but this is still more than some internet prices! Clearly neither Lee or the Jarmans can sell these at a loss.

I take it that they are fine connected directly to the Avant? If so, there is an earth problem somewhere! And no you are not fussy - mine did the same initially - fixed with a new Beoport box - thanks Newcastle.

Enough!! This is a B&O site and Mac vs PC arguments can go elsewhere. They are both just computers after all. The sentiment of the thread is I believe fair. A greater percentage of B&O owners seem to have Macs that the general population which in my view is not surprising as they do have similar values of design, integration by doing things

The Avant should be fine with N.Music. Agree with above - it may be set to just get video commands. Mine is in a similar set up and is perfect.

I like the Beolink 7000 a lot but these remotes are ageing now and are becoming much less reliable. The Beomaster 7000 is good though and I would suggest a Master Control Panel 6500 to operate it. This does not have the ability to work the TV as well but I doubt that is something you want. It is however much simpler and more reliable but will still

I take it that you paid more than that! In the UK there is legislation to stop the customer from being ripped off. I imagine that similar laws exist in Denmark - you complained in a timely manner so you should be entitled to a refund.
