Many thanks to the Beoworld members who made offers by PM. Offers were, unfortunately, received just after I had committed myself to an eBay bid for a replacement dock. The eBay dock has now arrived and seems OK. If I manage to effect a repair on the original dock I will post it in the workshop section. Graham

I agree Johan. The drop-outs I experience seem to have nothing to do with my own computer etc use. Although I am connected to one of the most reliable broadband services in the UK, the fact is that the ISP has occasional momentary technical problems that may not be noticed with other services such as web browsing and email but are almost immediately
Graham. I managed to replicate your problem by just unplugging my dock! The screen turns upside down, the 'phone opens when receiving a call, and the icon (like bluetooth) appears. Since your charger warms up, I think there is a good chance that your fault is in the cable. Andy T.
Thanks for that confirmation

Following the failure of my Serene docking station (see 'Highs & Lows' post and 'Wanted' post) I've been experimenting with the phone and dock. The phone will charge on its travel charger and makes the usual pinging sounds on connection and disconnection. There are no such sounds when placing on the docking station and the phone

I listen to N radio via a Roku unit feeding into a Beomaster 1200. The source is Virgin (ex Telewest) broadband using their lowest speed (which comes with a telephone/TV standard package). I would say that on average I get a 10 to 15 second break once every 30 minutes. Every now and then input is lost completely and the Roku unit just keeps retrying

Anyone reading the B&O Highs and Lows thread (Gen Forum) will know that my Serene docking station failed overnight (and appears to be unrepairable). If anyone has a desktop docking station from a defunct Serene phone I would be interested. Graham
Funny how tastes differ - I need one of these aerials on any of my Beomasters like I need a pair of antlers on my head! (unfortunately I don't have any of these antennae, otherwise I'd send them to you, Graham )

Pretty sure you can still get the correct plugs - just

Graham. Check the fuse in the plug socket first. Simple solutions are often overlooked! PS. where about in Liverpool do you live? Andy T.
Hi Andy, The plug socket seems OK and the plug/ transformer still gets quite warm, so I suspect that it's an internal dock fault. I've
I agree! I had difficulty getting one with that plug until I visited Craig in Birmingham, who kindly gave me one for nowt. Craig The Rabitt Ear aerial is still available from Dealers, at about £20-£25, but has a coax type connector. I know it's not an ideal situation, but you can cut off the plug, and
Andy just rendered my last post entirely redundant while I was still typing it! Simon
Thanks Simon. I think Andy has had too much speed typing practice on Wednesday nights! Modern (non B&O) telescopics are cheap and abundant, but usually have a largish freestanding base. If I can't get the genuine
