From my experience, 13 meters is not in the trouble zone in terms of simply working or not. That starts around 20 meters. However, I agree that higher quality cables make a difference. I've been very happy with Key Digital. I use them personally.

Affuneur's experience is the closest I've seen on this board to the way "things really are" at Bang & Olufsen. Well over 90% of our business is done outside the store, whether over dinner or in the client's home. Many stores could probably shut their doors to the general public and increase business.
