I understand what you're saying but aren't iTunes plus still only 256Kbps compressed *.aac files? My concern regarding files ripped specifically by the publisher for use in iTunes, iPods etc. would be that they are specifically EQ'd for portable systems, PC speakers etc. Is there anything published that says these files are suited to full

It'll be interesting to find out - although a matched pair of memory modules will give additional DDR performance, most, (if not all) of the motherboards I've ever used were able to run with a single DIMM module (older SIMM's needed to be in pairs).

Mine is in a 4 high stack at the moment (BG5000 on top, BM5000, CD50, BC5000) although I always preferred the 2x2 layout when we had the bench space. I've never seen a 4x1 (akin to a 4500 system) but it'd be interesting if you had the space.

@Alex - I wasn't questioning the internal routing differences between the MKIII & MKIV, I was questioning your assumption that the analogue connection in the MKIII was an acceptable reason it's SD picture was better than the digitally connected MKIV.
