Prices went up recently on few products. I was qouted 4900 for BC2 with remote and BS9000 is now far above 5K. The weak USD I guess .... There is a pair mint on ebay right w for 2300. Also there is a seller called mikey who has some every now and then showing there. I think 2900 is fair for buying from a dealer. I bought mine 2 years back for 3000.

You can't configure the Set Top Box controller yourself. Your dealer needs to that. So make sure you get at least the cable box compatibility confirmed. I tried it out just now. I had the BL3s hooked up, it worked like a charm. In fact, I switched from BL3 only with muddy speech to Bl3 with center and later to center only and it is a huge huge difference when it comes to clarity of speech. Awesome. In fact the clarity that the center adds is so good that I can for myself justify the 4K price tag. Watching

Not beating the dead horse, I think your problem is, that HD Ready is not really a clear defined attribute of a TV. Back then when you bought the set, HDMI was a new upcoming standard. Die Beolab 2500 werden neu nicht mehr verkauft soweit ich weiss. Ich hab sie in meinem Schlafzimmer und bin sehr damit zufrieden. The Beocenter 6 TV in europe has the surround option for less then 500 Euros I believe. I think this is why some people are so heated about it. And BC6 is not availble in US neither is BV 7 32.
