Over the last couple of years I have bought at least 12 Soundsmith SMMC4 cartridges at $149 plus carriage. The first batch of 6 were bought for me by a relative who lives in the States and ferried them over for me as a present! Wasn't that nice of her??? Subsequent purchases have been via the Soundsmith website with carriage at $35 for a single

As always it is down to supply and demand - if people are prepared to sell for those prices, no dealer will offer more. If no one sells, then a dealer may be prepared to offer more.
Other way around Peter. It's to do with demand from end users. Problem with dealers in this

There must be a MTBF figure but it is unlikely to be widely available and in any event, it is only a statistic! I have a BC1 on my work room wall from 2003/4 Type number 8523 with 423 video days on the service counter and it is still sharp and bright with standard settings. Ok Connect the speakers to the 9000. Set audio option 1 and video option 1. That should get round the double entry problem. From memory!!!!! To get TV sound in the 9000 speakers try AV, TV on the remote. If that doesn't work then somebody with a better memory than me will have to help you!

Your speakers should be connected to the TV. Video option should be 2 audio option should be 0 All the commands are now going to be processed through the TV not both systems as was happening with your previous setup. Some early BC9000 will not accept option 0 so your link options are limited. Systems in standby. Beolink 1000 Sound Audio Option number
