Don't shout at me, this is a question from a friend of mine who wants to buy one of these TV's but wants to know if they can connect it to their Beolab 8000 speakers? I know there are some problems with loud volume depending on the TV's outputs but I'm hoping a techie can tell me. The TV is: a Sony 46HX703 http://www.sony.co.uk/product

A friend has an AV9000 which is stuck in standby. Using a Beo4 for TV, there is no response. Use the Beo4 for video and the red standby light flashes green, then back to red. Is this a classic sign of the previously reported dry solder joints or something else? Tried unplugging and plugging in again to no avail. The 2 switches under the screen also

Have you any upstairs neighbours? How about hanging it from the ceiling!? Has anyone ever tried this with a Cona? They aren't that heavy and I wonder what it would sound like? Off the wall idea maybe but has anyone tried it? I feel an experiment coming on!. Otherwise, as has been said, give them earplugs. Dave.

Nice looking 7700 - including remote. I've used double sided tape from an ebay seller and it is sticky stuff. He sells a whole variety of sizes so you can get the size to match. This is the tape I bought for fixing some 900K speaker grills.: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BLACK-DOUBLE-SIDED-FOAM-TAPE-6mm-x-10mtr-SUPER-STRONG-/180458546438?pt=UK_Crafts_Cardmaking_Scrapbooking_Glue_Tape_EH

Absolutely spot-on. I've just been going through my collection of older equipment in the last 2 weeks, checking which work and which are just for display (until I sort them out). For the first time in years I've rooted out some of my old tapes and have had a great time. Apart from anything else, some of the cassette decks look, and have features

Hi Jandyt, sheer genius. I was hoping someone could tell me. Which IR eye does it use though? I can find a power supply and I have a few Beolink 1000's lying around - to go with the 6 BEO4's I have (I really must rationalise some things!). I've been given permission by Debby to convert 1 room of the house into a B&O listening room -

I thought as much and would love to know what other 'kit' is needed to get them up and running. I'm likely to put one on eBay soon along with some other stuff as I only really need one. Dave.

I'm in contact with Frede at the moment with a view to getting my newly bought Beomaster 5000, Beolab 5000 and Beovox 2500 cube speakers restored. Having been reminded of this thread by Chris (many thanks), I now can't wait to get them sent off and maybe have them back for Christmas. 500 hours of testing for each piece - it's a remarkable

Second picture I didn't previously add.

I forgot I had 2 of these (ebay impulse buy) but don't know how to set them up as I only have the tech specs/details and not a manual. I intended to set up a 'speaker wall' and connect a series of speakers into one amp to show how different the speakers are and thought these would be ideal. Are they from a dealer? Anyway, any help would
