I purchased a handsome pair of Beovox S120.2 speakers and am thoroughly UNDER -whelmed. I had thought that the S120 was the pinnacle of the passive S-speakers. Not so. I was replacing a set of S-75’s that had MUCH better sound quality, if lacking in the esthetic range. (They were not pristine.) The S120’s have a booming bass, that is at

OK Keith, I see, that makes perfect sense. Jeff

Hi Keith, I selected speakers, passive, 120’s, and browse and it comes up with no information available in red. I tried 5 or 6 other speakers at random, all with the same result. I did not try receivers or anything other category. Jeff

Thanks Peter, but the FAQ's section is still not functioning. Being a typical American (now living in Canada) to do love my bass.... explaining my fondness for my McIntosh speakers with two 12 " woofers each. I was advised that I would prefer the M150's and that is now beyond dispute. However, I look forward to the arrival of the S-120

Are you guys aware that the FAQ’s section is totally not working? I just purchased a very nice pair of S-120.2 speakers and my B&O guru said they are really not as good as my current S-75’s or better still a pair of M-150’s. I didn’t dare go for a scratch remover considering the plastic is “shedding,” but instead elected to polish the surface with excellent results. Now the plastic is both evenly shinny and largely free of scratches. As a result I can recommend this

Thanks all! I used clear Windex to remove the protective layer which took about an hour. I liked Jeff’s idea about pulling it off with an adhesive tape, but I would not have had the courage to try that without the advice offered here in advance. I have some high grade automotive plastic polish which I think I will try to see what effect it has

I was dusting my Beomaster 2400 when I noticed what appeared to be a slight bubble in the control surface. A little rubbing and plastic began peeling off. A bit more rubbing and a LOT more plastic peeled off. Eventually with an hour of rubbing the entire surface peeled. It was almost as if the protective layer often applied to plastic surfaces was never

In all fairness, ANY company must compete on the world scene…. whether it is reasonable or not. Sony is a very large corporation which makes exceptional products. I have one of their “boom boxes” from the late eighties which has spent a lot of time outside…. on the Florida beach, in the sun, and used extensively …..

The real difficulty in buying second hand B&O products, whether it be eBay or elsewhere is finding accommodating and knowledgeable service after your “treasure” arrives. I am from Florida where there are numerous B&O dealers, however I now live on Vancouver Island and there is virtually no repair facility available. The B&O store
